How do I rent a dumpster?
Bin orders can be placed by phone (705.341.4010), email (justin@kawarthabin.ca) or by requesting an online estimate.
Do you drop off/pick up on the weekends?
Yes, our team is ready to deliver and pick-up bins at your convenience, including Saturday. Please contact us if you need a Sunday pick up or drop off.
Do your bins have doors or do I have to throw my stuff over the side?
Yes. A number of our bins have doors while some of our bins include a built-in ramp (beaver tail), perfect for driving machinery in and out of the bin.
Will the bin damage my driveway?
No, we offer specialty bins on wheels for scratch-safe delivery and pick-up, ensuring your job site remains damage-free.

How much does it cost to rent a bin and dispose of the waste?
Costs are dependant on the amount of waste and location of the delivery.
How long can I keep the bin?
We recommend our customers to take advantage of the bin for 7 full days. Additional days for Zone 1 customers is $10/day.
How much notice do you need if I want to rent a bin?

What am I allowed to put in the bin?
Bins can be filled with any one of the following materials. Mixing Concrete, Asphalt and Metal is not permitted.

  • Clean Fill (natural material only, soil, sand and stone)
  • Non-Hazardous Solid Waste (renovation or demolition waste, wood, drywall)
  • Household (additional fees are charged for mattresses and box springs, these items must be at the top of bin once the bin is ready for pick up)
  • Construction Waste (including asphalt shingles)
  • Green Waste (including branches & stumps)
  • Leaf & Yard Waste (must be in a separate bin on its own)
  • Concrete (must be clean, no painted material, no red brick)
  • Asphalt (road material, no soil to be mixed)
  • Metal (call for rates and services required)

What is the definition of clean fill?
Clean fill consists only of topsoil, dirt, sand, small amounts of sod, and natural stone. A good rule of thumb is not to include any man made material, including small end cuts of pavers and/or bricks. Also Clean fill does not consist of concrete, asphalt, wood, plant material or any compostable green waste and must not be mixed with clean fill it must be kept separate from each other.
What is considered Solid Waste?
Non hazardous solid waste included renovation waste, demolition waste, drywall, wood, plaster, roofing, shingles and scrap metal.
What am I not allowed to put in the bin?
Absolutely No Hazardous Waste can go into bins (Explosive, Poison, Corrosive, Flammable products are not permitted)

  • Left over Paint & Solvents, Paint Cans and Paint Thinner, Stains and Varnish
  • Household Cleaning Product (blech, metal cleaners, rust remover, toilet bowl cleaner, upholstery & rug cleaner)
  • Batteries
  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Automotive Products, Tires, Motor Oil, Gasoline and Anti-Freeze
  • Aerosol Cans, Styrofoam Containers
  • Pesticides and Fertilizer Containers
  • Pharmaceuticals and Biomedical Waste
  • Propane Tanks, Gas Tanks/Cans, Helium Tanks, Kerosene Tanks
Can there be any extra charges?
Yes, all waste loads that contain more than 20% black bags and/or recyclable materials will be subject to an extra charge. Some examples of extra charges are: fridges, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers, mattresses, tires, concrete and asphalt.
How can I pay for the bin?
An initial pre-authorization with your credit card is preformed beforehand. If you’d like to pay with a different method at the time of pick up we accept the following forms of payment (etransfer, credit card, debit).
What are your hours of operation?
Monday – Saturday, 7am – 7pm.
